Dementia Services Development Centre (DSDC)
Based at the University of Stirling, DSDC is an international centre of knowledge and expertise dedicated to improving the lives of people with dementia. They provide a range of resources based on up-to-date research and practice.
Scottish Dementia Strategy (first and second)
The first strategy was introduced in 2010 and resulted in an increase in diagnosis rates for people with dementia in Scotland. Scotland’s second national strategy was launched on 3 June 2013. The third strategy is due for release in 2016.
Alzheimer Scotland’s 8 Pillars Model of Community Support
The 8 Pillars Model aims to build the resilience of people with dementia and their carers to enable them to live in the community for as long as possible.
